Probably the weakest episode up to date. Not very funny. Shinin and Ballin are not very good, ballin is the worst episode so far.

What the hell is wrong with you people? Ballin’ is a fresh original episode that doesn’t rely on kung-fu slapstick or gangsta rap satire. It was fun to watch and it introduced a character from the comics. You haters shouldn’t be smokin’ that shit, fucks with your depth perception.

cindy’s first apperance was awesome to bad she got owned.
But everything worked out. Cindy got to find out the turth so she coudl confront her mom and dad so that maybe they could work things out. Riley didnt deserve to win until he won all the lessons he needed to learn in sportsmanship. the last one being never underestimate and always give it your all. and the autistic boy got the boost of confidence so he can win and his fame will probalby help him become a normal member of society and overcome his problem. I love tournaments, beyond someone losing, even if they odnt see it hten, everybody always learns what htey need to know.

I am not a fan of the episodes that center on Riley as they tend to move beyond ’satire’ and into the boonfoonery that stereotypes black people ( particularly black men) in America today. However, although less entertaining, this episode appeared to reinforce the actual message. That is to say that it was not overly saturated with the type of boonfoonery that glorifies stereotypes. I definitely have so favorite shows (like S1: The Itis) but I am constantly on the fence with the boondocks…it is an ambitious goal to create an entertaining satire centered on young black boys without eventually succumbing to stereotypical exploits.

I am not sure if this was purposely, but there is also refernce to Jason McElwain; an autistic high school basketball player who hit 6 3-pointers in his last high school game as a senior. Was watchin the episode last night and thought of how mad familiar the scenerio felt. Jason’s oppenents left him a lil open as well. Coincidence?

It was just alright. It may have been the weakest one. I like the point they made about dribbling and not being able to shoot though. That’s how alot of these youngins play. Dribbling fro 35 mins. It gets on my damn nerves!!!

I kinda miss the social commentary that Huey brought to the show in the first season. The episodes focusing on Riley or Gramps are hilarious, but they are also a bit superficial and predictable. I do hope that the next episode will be about real controversial subjects, like in the episode around Martin Luther King or in the one about ” white heaven ”.

I’m surprised so many of you are disappointed in this episode. If you hate the show, why watch? Why not get a friend to keep tabs on the show and tell you when the episodes are “good” by your standards again?
Personally, I think this was pretty original - especially in that the “miracle win” goes to the other team. Tom blowing up and cussing his head off is the funniest thing since Stinkmeaner!

This episode was particularly poignant in two ways:
* The episode provided social commentary on extended family dynamics: distant family members w/ poor character–leeching, being a unproductive burden, making unkept promises, being indolent, etc.;
* The episode makes solid social commentary on Katrina: Haliburton’s hiring practices, possible intentional sabotage of the levees; media sensationalism; etc.

I’m thinking a lot of yall who didnt like this episode are white, and dont get all the subliminals.
If you know how to hoop or play ball, You will be laughing your ass off. If you Played soccer or was in the school play, you wont get this at all.
This is one of the funniest episodes on season 2, it went over a lot of your heads. Real talk.
