Honestly, if I was Robert Freeman, I would kick them out and leave them in the cold. These Katrinians are a prime examples of N*GGERS (I’m black so I can “use” that world, despite of its derogratory theme). How can anyone destroy a man’s house, not trying to get a job and keep the FEMA check to yourself??? That’s disgusting and derogratory. This does not happen only to Blacks, this happens to every race. It is a disgrace what these guys done. I’m sorry that Hurricane Katrina destroyed New Orleans and many good people lost their homes; however, the few lazy people shouldn’t take advantage of the good heart people who allow them into their homes. Thank god Aaron show this reality of how some blacks take advantage of other blacks beautiful hearts. This is the first episode that Huey was 100% wrong about the situation.

December 10th, 2007 at 8:09 am
This episode is fucced up on SO many levels. I’m from New Orleans and I went thru the whole Katrina ordeal. I lost almost everything, even family members. I was blessed to be on the receving end of the kindness of strangers, but one thing kept me going: wanting to rebuild what I lost nd get back on my feet. This episode kinda ticked me off a lil bit, but I know it’s comedy and satire and I laughed my ass off! I was glad Ruckus got his ass kicked tho! LMAO!!!
December 10th, 2007 at 1:43 pm
I liked this one the least of any episode this season. Lazy N*ggaz are more annoying than funny to me. But the show was saved by Lil’ Wayne and the fact that Ruckus caught a beat down.
December 10th, 2007 at 2:11 pm
I like it how Mc Gruder empathises that black people also have their responsibilities. He could use this cartoon to rant on how the white community is keeping the blacks down. I personally wouldn’t even blame him if he did that, because in some ways it’s true. But luckily for us he doesn’t. He wants to show that there are some critical errors in the way of thinking of some (!) black people, and that is what he is showing us with The Boondocks.
This episode is among the best of the second season. It has the heart on the right place, and that’s what I kinda missed in the previous three episodes. I do hope that there will be more of a similar level in this season.

@ B Trusty
Don’t feel offended. This episode is clearly NOT about you. You’re one of the many hard working citizens of New Orleans who deserved the charity!
But there are people wrongly benefitting from the whole situation. Like with the Tsunami, I also read stories of people claiming boats while they didn’t have one before the disaster.
December 10th, 2007 at 3:29 pm
Imma get a dog and name him Levies and KICK HIM everytime it rains!
haha
December 10th, 2007 at 3:36 pm
It took a soulja from the Lower Ninth to finally drop Ruckus.
Jericho n’em prolly live on Forstall St. close to da river.
December 10th, 2007 at 4:43 pm
1) What happened to Uncle Rukus Kung fu skills?(where his nuff chucks this time?)
2)After I told the guy to get a job and he acted that way,oh he gone….its time to go.They didn’t help out they just lazed around.
3)Keeping the Fema check to themselves then leaving with damages and such, thats deep.
December 10th, 2007 at 5:47 pm

They did in Season 1. Check out “The Itis”. Ed Wuncler used Granddad to help gentrify an area where he wanted to build a hotel. Also check out “The Block Is Hot” episode in which Ed does some really nasty things to Jasmine simply because she wanted to buy a pony…

January 29th, 2008 at 7:49 am
I am from New Orleans LA…born and raised from cross da canal. Its jokes people…laughter is medicine for the soul. However, McGruder got his point across. For those of you who didn’t get it: Stop being a victim! Take control of your own life. Yes Katrina happened and it was horrible. But guess what? you lived to fight another day so do that! I did.
February 3rd, 2008 at 2:52 am
Really no one from N.O. should take it personally if it does not apply to you…it is done to an extreme for a reason…to encourage ppl that if that is what their life is like they should change…because its not a pretty reflection…at the same time it pays homage to those who lost everything in Katrina because it brought the situation back to the forefront of ppls minds and it continued to perpetuate the pro pensive amount of damage done..may God be with all victims of Hurricane Katrina
February 16th, 2008 at 9:25 pm
wtf.
lazy ass niggaz! they wont get a damn job or even help clean up? then that one chick was all like ‘i don’t like that kind of koolaid’ and shit…
and that fack ass grandma was all like ‘praise the lord Jessus, lordy, lord, lord!’. if she was real about thoose empty ass words, she would have got her fat lazy black old dusty ass up and gone to church and volenteer there and stuff like that, but instead she just throws around the lords name like he is a dog or some shit. idiots like that make me almost ashamed to be black. and i would beat the shit out of that stupid ass reporter. then throw her ass in a damn lake. talkin about ‘do you hate poor black people?’, shiiiiiiit. she doesnt know what the fuck is happenin.
July 24th, 2008 at 3:02 am
