January 29th, 2008 at 3:00 am

January 29th, 2008 at 4:01 am
Jazmine hasn’t been in an episode in forever! what the hell. i miss her
January 29th, 2008 at 4:56 am
Wait a minute.
You’re saying Riley had a POINT?!? Riley was the idiot of the episode, next to Uncle Ruckus.
January 29th, 2008 at 5:55 am
Hey Massa Why don’t you do me a favor and massa deez nuts in yuh mouth nigga
HAHAHAHAHAHAH
January 29th, 2008 at 5:57 am

January 29th, 2008 at 7:34 am
its iight
January 29th, 2008 at 9:37 am
One of my favorites of the second season. I loved the first part that told the story of Catcher Freeman like a Hollywood flick.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:50 am
Ending theme was an absolute scream!
Did anyone feel as though slavery is taken light-heartedly?
January 30th, 2008 at 3:45 am
I second d wil, although Uncle Ruckus did make me laugh when he said What website is that? Madeupmonkeyshit.com?
January 30th, 2008 at 5:33 am
Another fine episode!!!
The ending credits song was hilarious!!!
Ruckus’s depiction of slavery is crazy. its funny and offensive at the same time. *Black ppl running on 4 legs and biting ppl* like animals.
One thing I’ve noticed is that all the female characters on the boondocks has either been light skinned, mixed, white, or ugly. hopefully we get some dark-skinned sistahs on here!
(fyi: im light skinned myself)
January 30th, 2008 at 6:10 am
I thought this episode was funny as hell. Suprised there wasn’t more of Huey though. Oh and by the way the idea is that history has been and is being scued to the point where it is hard to know what are lies, and what has really happened. Also this episode made me notice that when reading a history book every single event is so dramatized that i wouldn’t be suprised to see it as the next big hollywood movie.
January 30th, 2008 at 2:05 pm
Huey is like the ultimate combination of Thelma and Catcher… A swordsman and a scriptwriter.
Tho the part of always tryin to be on the winning side is more like granddad freeman.
And Riley is just as crazy as Thelma.
I believe they really are related haha
January 30th, 2008 at 2:52 pm
The episodes are becoming less funnier and more stupid … its becoming really racist now
January 30th, 2008 at 4:21 pm
whahah this ep is hella funny
..with machinegunz and 24’s and bitches
ahah
January 30th, 2008 at 5:57 pm
was it me or did Catcher Freeman recite one of the lyrics to the Boondocks theme song ?!
Riley did have a point how you cannot believe everything you read. Of course his point was lightly sprinkled with ignorance, but a point none the less.
January 30th, 2008 at 6:18 pm
Riley also brings up Granddad’s credibility to light. Since Granddad has fabricated a few stories (i.e The Walmart Guy, his MySpace Profile), Riley finds it hard to believe him. Not to mention the fact that the slaves compared Catcher Freeman to Batman.
January 30th, 2008 at 8:12 pm
Worst episode sofar
January 30th, 2008 at 8:16 pm
This episode is actually rather deep…especially the part where you have dudes in the field talking about the master and escaping…
It presents to us two different ideas our people have on our state of affairs in our country, except in the slave setting - house slave chastises field slave for always blaming the white man for our problems, while field slave waits on his “boy” to get that come up so he can rescue him from his crappy situation. Though those aren’t the ONLY two outlooks we have, they are two very prevelant view points that beg discussion and analysis.
Genius.
January 30th, 2008 at 8:19 pm
Also, when the field slave is talking about waiting for Catcher to come through, it made me think - we, as a people, talk about waiting for the “next” MLK or Malcolm or Marcus…
why are we WAITING for one of ours to come and bring us out the bs, why aren’t we working on BECOMING what we dream of?
January 30th, 2008 at 8:53 pm
I can’t believe ol’ cuz said Riley had a point. Riley was supposed to represent the ignorant youth of today.
January 30th, 2008 at 9:31 pm
dammn that nigga came out that water like jason. Haha classic. looks like i got a new quote.
January 30th, 2008 at 10:48 pm
this episode was alright, just a little different then others…didnt quite like the flashback for the whole episode though
January 30th, 2008 at 10:48 pm
and iceman thats kinda the point
January 31st, 2008 at 12:39 am
yeh i think it was a giiid episode but they took slavery alitttle too lightly
i kno its its jus tv but still gota put som facual stuff bout slavery that acually excisted
January 31st, 2008 at 1:45 am
i liked the part about the writers strike
January 31st, 2008 at 4:30 am
TOP 3 EPISODE OF ALL-TIME!!!
*Quote of the Show*
Huey: Ruckus, “Don’t Trust Them New Niggas” was NOT a negro spiritual.
Uncle Ruckus is my hero and he makes the show what it is!!
January 31st, 2008 at 9:45 am
Wow…this is the best episode ever…there are so many themes running thru it. Revisionist history, the historical depictions of blacks as animals and/or supernatural creatures, how the house nigga and field nigga perspectives are equally unrealistic(marry Thelma and live in massa’s house LOL)…notice how those perspectives parallel those of Ruckus and Granddad in the present day…this shit is deep and will probably go over a lot of people’s heads…I’m about to watch it again and see if I can catch some more shit. This is the kind of complex episode that rises to the level of the last couple of episodes of Season 1.
January 31st, 2008 at 9:52 am
LOL…Peep dude with one pant leg rolled up in the background while massa is chastising the group for singing…hip hop is in the building!
January 31st, 2008 at 10:40 am
Notice in Granddad’s story when Thelma escapes and they surround her and one dude undoes his pants…a subtle nod to the raping of female slaves that went on…note how Riley calls Catcher’s shackles “handcuffs”…another subtle reference to black incarceration rates today…the more things change, the more they stay the same, they just present themselves in a different form. This episode has so many little jewels in it if you are really paying attention.

I like how the boondocks series came back on a good episode after sum okay episodes. but it was funny.
“Catcher Freeman aint no regular Nigga Hes a super Nigga” lol
February 1st, 2008 at 12:03 am
I loved this episode, it was funny as hell.
February 1st, 2008 at 1:09 am
Not the best episode but it was funny. Had a few good points on it too. Lol what’s really funny though is that the people that are trying to sound the deepest are misspelling the simplest words.
“scued” = scewed
“excisted”?! come on now
PS: not here to spell check or ride anyone necessarily, but if you’re a Boondocks fan you gotta know how to laugh at yourself sometimes
February 1st, 2008 at 11:44 am
This ep was crazy. They did take slavery a little too lightly but that’s what made it hilarious. A slave talking about her resume, classic. The funny thing is, the way Riley was acting is the same way that youth act now about the struggle of civil rights. The Boondocks will always take things too far, that’s why we love it.
February 1st, 2008 at 3:50 pm
I thought this episode was one of the better ones recently. It takes slavery lightly, but they take everything light. I love that one guy at the beginning, “If you beat Tobias, its like beating all of us, just with considerably less effort on your part.”
February 1st, 2008 at 3:59 pm
my dog lil waye be ballen on dis shit cua
February 1st, 2008 at 11:34 pm
my fav quote was when they was like “massa go check on de-enda, de-enda my dick nigguh” lol
February 2nd, 2008 at 12:11 am
boondocks man..lol …
February 2nd, 2008 at 12:29 am
uncle ruckus had a picture though..
February 2nd, 2008 at 2:40 am
While Huey is looking up the true history behind “Catcher Freeman”, Uncle Ruckus mentions the website “Made Up Monkey Shit Dot Com”… Well, I decided I’d check that URL out…
It turns out it directs you to the Boondocks Offical Webpage! Try it for yourself! It’s pretty funny…

February 2nd, 2008 at 6:37 am
I really like this episode…when he is telling slaves to stop blaming the white man for everything it kind of puts todays problems for our people into perspective!
February 2nd, 2008 at 8:17 pm
the ending creadits was funny as hell..
“take our black ass outa here”
(sing da mutha f*cker now)
“take our black asses outa here”
(masta ur a bitch nigga)
“take our black asses outa here”
“please o dear catcher”
kill all of dem crackers
and get our black asses outa here
February 4th, 2008 at 12:42 am
LOL this is one of the best that season 2 has to offer. Shinin and Ballin were terrible episodes but The Boondocks are no longer in a “recession”- i liked the S Word ep, had a strong point, and this one is funny and more original episode.
February 4th, 2008 at 5:19 am
They should make a spinoff of the show with just Uncle Ruckus and Granddad. That would be hilarious.
February 4th, 2008 at 7:05 am
I noticed that i mispelled “scewed” as well but I didn’t realize it until after I had posted, seeing as I don’t proof read forums posts. I would have edited it out but there is no edit feature. I apologize and in the future SAO i will make sure that if I have any spelling mistakes that I re-post the mangled word with the correct spelling. : D Learn to laugh at yourself SAO, and your strange habit of looking at something and seeing nothing but words and grammar, rather than the ideas they are trying to convey.
February 4th, 2008 at 7:21 am
“what nigga you know gone work all day in a hot field fo’ no paper??”-riley. riley is too damn funny. i don’t like his part at the end though. reminds me too much of these young kids now-a-days who just talk about rims & guns like that’s cool.
February 4th, 2008 at 7:23 am
“hey massa, deenda called.”
“deenda… idk anyone named deenda… deenda who?”
“de end of my dick nigga”
^^
love that part. lol!
i hate how everyone is taking this episode & the one before to heart. its just a show. we all know how important the history of these episodes are but thats what the thirteen years of school were for. we can’t change it so just chill & watch the episode. damn!
February 4th, 2008 at 7:30 am
“i’m outta here. you ain’t never seen no nigga be gone like i’ma be gone. tell you something. you ain’t never seen no nigga ride out. & i’ma join a gang.” -HILARIOUS
“he super nigga. he like a black ass batman if you will. & he can fly… underwater!”-TOO FUNNY
“& what’s you plan house nigga? i bet you don’t even wanna escape… all on massa nuts.”-LMFAO
idk where they come up with this stuff but it is good stuff. i love this show.
February 4th, 2008 at 7:33 am
“alright grandad DANG, you making me uncomfortable”
“catcher freeman was a sexy man”
i love this show man. this is my favorite episode. i think this may be better than the return of stinkmeaner episode.
February 4th, 2008 at 11:43 pm
Why do black people at my school who know how to write in proper english grammar talk ghetto ebonix?
I mean if they have been accepted to a university then obviously they are not gangsta.
Are they just trying really hard to fit in since schoolboys are looked down upon in the hood.
February 6th, 2008 at 4:15 am
i want so bady for the song at the end of the show to be a whole song, it would be THE funniest song in whole damn world!!
February 7th, 2008 at 7:27 pm
This was far and away the best episode ever. There were so many subtle things within the ep that many people will miss them. There was Riley representing the way young black people think; the extreme view that slavery was not that bad; the way black youth can hang out all day doing nothing - well that kind of extends to youth of any ethnicity, e.g., mall rats; how black people need to wait for someone else to do something before they can move, etc., etc., etc. Unkle Ruckus’ view on slavery was too hilarious. “If you think niggas is worthless and lazy nowadays you shoulda’ seen them during slavery.” Unkle Ruckus really believed that Massa Colonel was the victim! I knew that hilarity would ensue when Unkle Ruckus had not only heard of Catcher Freeman but thought he was the greatest nigga ever!
February 7th, 2008 at 9:27 pm
this shit was hilarious!!!! i love this episode especially when that guy who wrote the script was gettin his ass whooped!!!
February 8th, 2008 at 1:20 am
“de end a my dick nigga”
hilarious i gotta tell that to somebody. i love the ending song somebody gotta find a way to loop it and post it up. it reminds of the movie The Jerk with Steve Martin. if u haven’t seen it before i HIGLY RECOMMEND it! Riley is too gangsta.
February 11th, 2008 at 12:49 am

Ruckus: Sure I can
*Rewinds story*
Riley: Oh that was crazy

April 18th, 2008 at 10:37 pm
damn this wayz funny. but still offensive and hurtful but i guess thats what it takes to make ppl react to whats goin on all around us today. bondocks r deep, hillarious geniouses. ppl just gotta listen and learn from them as much as we laugh at the show….and then make moves to change shit
July 3rd, 2008 at 9:44 am
