Episode 1: The Garden Party
When the owner of Granddad’s house invites Granddad and the kids to his garden party, Huey tries to start trouble by saying Jesus was black and comparing Ronald Regan to the devil. Meanwhile, Riley and the owner’s grandson (a soilder back from Iraq) play with guns and Granddad runs into the self-loathing black butler Uncle Rukus.
Episode 2: The Trial of R. Kelly
When the trial of R&B star R. Kelly comes to town and Tom Dubois is the ADA, Huey and Riley are on opposing sides of the hot-button “underage peeing” issue. Meanwhile, Granddad and Uncle Ruckus argue about white people during a game of checkers.
Episode 3: Guess Hoe’s Coming to Dinner
Huey and Riley try to convince Grandad that his new girlfriend Cristal (like the champagne) is actually a prostitute. Of course, Grandad doesn’t believe them, even when she spends all his money. But when A Pimp Named Slickback shows up, the truth is revealed.
Episode 4: Granddad’s Fight
Grandad gets in a fight with the old and blind Colonel Stinkmeaner.
Episode 5: A Date with the Health Inspector
Tom Dubois is accused of being a elusive killer and Huey must find the real killer.
Episode 6: The Story of Gangstalicious
Riley’s favorite rapper, Gangstalicious, is shot and hospitalized in Woodcrest.
Episode 7: A Huey Freemen Christmas
A well meaning teacher offers Huey the chance to direct the school Christmas play, and Huey decides to release his vision to the world: “The Adventures of Black Jesus.”
Episode 8: The Real
While Riley is busy convincing two reality shows that Granddad’s blind and running a homeless shelter, Huey is being shadowed by a secret government agent. But is he real?
Episode 9: The Return of the King
When Martin Luther King comes out of a coma after 32 years and finds himself thrust into the 21st and life in the post “September 11th” era, his “turn the other cheek” philosophy quickly takes him from beloved national hero to dispised terrorist sympathizer.
Episode 10: The Itis
Grandad opens “The Itis”, the only soul food restaurant in Woodcrest. White people didn’t expect it. They also didn’t expect high cholesterol, heart disease, and obesity.
Episode 11: Let’s Nab Oprah
Huey has to stop Riley and a small gang of misfit idiots from nabbing the talk show deity, Oprah.
Episode 12: Riley Wuz Here
When Riley’s affinity for grafitti goes too far, Grandad sends him to an art teacher that actually encourages him to do grafitti, only painting murals instead. Meanwhile, Huey discovers a black woman died from watching too much black TV, and decides to watch black TV for 2 weeks to see if that was the cause.
Episode 13: Wingmen
When Grandad’s oldest friend, and possibly his worst friend, Moe, dies, the Freemans go back home and Grandad wants the possession Moe left him. Meanwhile, Huey is eager to see his friend again but both Grandad and Huey both discover to put the past behind them and focus on the future.
Episode 14: The Block Is Hot
Its February, and its record temperatures of 90 degrees. Luckily, Jazmine has her lemonade stand open, and does pretty well. Her success catches the eye of corporate tycoon Ed Wuncler. Despite several warnings from Huey, Jazmine then learns the true meaning of “capitalism” when Wuncler decides to buy the stand.
Episode 15: The Passion of Ruckus
While Ruckus spreads the word of White Jesus to get into White Heaven, Huey desperately tries to save his friend from death row.

Great season, excellent dialogs and animatics
the only stupid thing is that my version of the boondocks season1 (on dvd) has those annoying censure blocks when people put their middle finger up or when they show a boob or a penis. And this only happens during the last 5 episodes of season one, i don’t have this kind of censure with the previous episodes

Boondocks is some deep stuff. You look past all of the making fun of races and modern stupid ass problems and you’ll find that Huey is right. Its not a black show where there’s dudes getting the bitches and shooting people. It’s a show about how black people have evolved into mainly stupid people. How whites are careless dumbasses. And, above all, how the trueth hurts but you need to hear it. Listen to Huey. Respect him and whoever created him. They know right. Oh yeah…I love Ed. He’s such a (gay for Rummy) stupid white boy. Man The Boondocks is my favorite show. I cant believe they let this show be on the air! Oh well who gives a rat’s ass anyways. Huey is the next president yal! He is the insparation to everyone in the world. Riley is just plain gansta. He says the pimp prayer, he hangs with thugnificnet, and hell man he even spray paints! That shit is gansta! Just watched a re-run of the “anal rape” episode of Boondocks. Should have shut it off once the prosecutor was arrested with no legal counsel and no evidence, but I stayed with it just to see how ridiculous their protrayal of the justice system would get…and it got worse. The portrayal of Iraq-war vets toting assault weapons, robbing a convenience store, and killing the store owner was unforgivable - even when you grant them the fact that it was meant as political satire. I’ve tried watching Boondocks several times and I always come away asking myself how they get away their racist (yes - RACIST) crap that portrays white people as idiots and our institutions as fascists. Boondocks doesn’t deserve the time it takes to write this. The problem is that it furthers destructive stereotypes and does more damage than good. Vets don’t return home to go gansta in their Hummers armed to the teeth. Real policemen have to have probable cause and those who are arrested must be provided legal counsel (and no, they don’t automatically get harrassed into signing confessions). Cops don’t let gun-toting robbers convince them a convenience store owner is a threat. But what DOES happen in the real world is the furtherance of destrucive stereotypes by the likes of Aaron Magruder. Do yourself a favor - turn off Boondocks and go study up on MLK. Until everybody stops focusing on race and starts focusing on the “content of people’s character”, we won’t make any real progress.
